Alright, let me tell you the problem with this Target ad, okay? Annie is a little black girl this time around last time I checked. So little black girls are going to watch the movie and become inspired and say, “I want to be just like Annie, mommy.” Then they will run to target to buy clothes to be JUST LIKE HER but see little white girls wearing the clothing in the ad. And you know what, I DO NOT find this okay. You’re supposed to be advertising to little black girls. TO THE AUDIENCE THAT WILL MAINLY FIND THIS MOVIE INSPIRING and this ad is what? Trying to be diverse? But when Elsa clothes are sold. Or Cinderella merchandise it’s ALL WHITE GIRLS. But when black people have ONE thing, we have to share it and be diverse when white people never have diversity when selling their own things and this irritates me. Black children never get to have anything. And then they just threw ONE little black girl in here. If you can’t see the problem in this like I can, then you are also part of the problem.
You can’t even see the black girls face…
please tell me why the one little black girl is looking down?!?!?!
When you look down, that’s a sign of sadness right? Lol. This is terrible. 😂
Sadness/insecurity/etc. Plus I love how her hood is up too, so you can just barely see her hair.
